🚣 Al-Noor Boat Race 🚣

Asslamu’Alaikum,

On Saturday 8th July, *MCWAS Mavericks* took part in the Al-Noor Boat Race.

Over *48 teams* took part in the first two rounds of races, and the fastest 12 teams would then compete in the semi finals. 🏁

After two races, we finished an agonising *13th place*, just missing out on semi-final qualification by half a second!

*Well done* 👏 to the team for getting so close without any prior practise on the water! 🥳🙌

Also a huge thanks to all those that have supported the MCWAS Mavericks over the past 4 weeks. We have raised almost *£30,000* with Launchgood who also gave us *prize money of £1000* for raising the *2nd highest* amount out of all the competing boat teams!

So far, we have won *$7,000* 🏆 in prize money 💰during this fundraising campaign with Launchgood!
