MCWAS Matrimonial Service
This service is aimed for those local to MCWAS. We have designed a service that will assist you in searching for a potential spouse securely, confidentially and within the boundaries of Islamic etiquette.
Step 1
Please fill in the online application form and complete payment which is non-refundable. The form is text based with questions designed to gather information on the candidate that can be used to search for a potential spouse. There will be no requirement for any photos.
Please note that to obtain access to the database you will need to have a Gmail account. Please create a Gmail account in order to be able to make your application, if you don’t already have one.
As part of your application process you will be asked to submit a copy of your ID document to MCWAS Matrimonial Service e.g. passport.
Step 2
MCWAS Matrimonial Coordinators will review your application and verify references provided. There will be a short onboarding call with the candidate either via Zoom or Whatsapp. This will usually be done within five working days of the application submission.
Please note that the onboarding call will be done by a coordinator with the same gender as the candidate.
Step 3
Once your application has been approved you will be assigned a candidate number and given access to the database. If you like a profile of a candidate you will contact the Matrimonial Service email address with the candidate number of the profile you like. We will then notify that candidate who can then decide to allow for sharing of further details or not. No personal details (e.g name, address) will be visible on the database as these will only be known by the coordinators.
Please note that we will only share the mahram details for the sisters for the initial contact between both candidates..

The annual fee for the matchmaking service is £50. This will cover an initial consultation & admin fees, which will gives access to a secure database of profiles for up-to 1 year. During the subscription period, members are able to regain access to view profiles at no additional cost.

Yes, once your application is received by a MCWAS Administrator your profile will be anonymised before being added to a database of profiles. Your personal details will be stored in a secure drive that can be accessed only by MCWAS staff who are administering the service.

Your contact details will only be shared with another party with your prior consent.

You (and your wali) are required to send a copy of your ID (e.g. passport/driving licence) when you apply, followed by a visual check in your online consultation. Please note that whilst basic steps are taken to check a person’s ID, MCWAS cannot guarantee or be held liable for the information put forward by a party in their application or thereafter.

The details in your application will be held by MCWAS for the duration of your subscription (usually up to 1 year) and will be deleted when your subscription ends. Copies of ID documents are held for a short time until a basic check is carried out in a consultation

Once your completed application form and payment is received, you will need to send a copy of your ID document(s).
You will receive a call from MCWAS staff to arrange a video consultation and welcome you to the service.
Following the consultation, both you and your Wali will be added to a private telegram App to access a private database of profiles and to receive notifications and updates.
If you are interested in a profile you simply need to contact the MCWAS Administrator and state the reference number of the profile you are interested in.
A MCWAS Administrator will contact the individual and their Wali to check if they are happy to exchange contact information with you.
If both parties agree then contact details will be exchanged and the parties are free to contact each other outside of the matchmaking service.
Your profiles will be temporarily suspended and removed from the database but will be held in a secure drive.
If a match is unsuccessful individuals are welcome to rejoin the service and your profile will be reinstated.
Your profile will be completely deleted after a 1 year subscription period unless you renew your subscription.

No. We maintain a database of profiles for you to view and help to facilitate the exchange of contact details for individuals and their Walis who have expressed an interest in each other’s profiles.

The service does not facilitate the exchange of photos. Once contact details are exchanged between two parties and their Walis then parties are welcome to exchange photos by mutual consent.
